Movie Review of 'Dwitiyo Purush'
8 years ago a movie named "22se srabon" which set the whole new parameters of Bengali movies, Breaks the flow completely, after so many years, beginning of new decade a movie claims second chapter of that cult classic(22se srabon),so naturally, expectations are high on this movie, but it really that Worthy? Is it maintenance that parameter or something beyond that? Or just a failure?
The answer is definitely not, it's sets a new parameters, I must say Srijit Mukherji back on track with bang!!
So basically the plot is ; Some familiar rhythmic murder happen again, which happened a long time ago in way/pattern , so higher authority hired (parambrata) Abhijit pakrashi , after solving the case of prabrir Roy chowdhury he becomes a higher ranked officer now, and Gourav (I forget ta name of that Character) gonna assisting him . How that murder was caught, what's his real identity the whole movie was based on that. There's also showing how the relationship between Abhijit n amrita (Raima) after their marriage.Beautifully portrayed timeline there's no confusion at all. Relation between characters are the most strong aspect of this movie and the characters justifications at end of movie u feel justified for all of the characters. Also name of movie justified I feel so satisfied the way movie justified it's name.
Also this movie Never not on single point looses it's theme, you always find your self on edge of your seats, bit drama bit emotion and very little humorous comedy perfectly implemented.In simple words story was good and the story telling was amazing
Performances:- oh my God!! Just unbelievable performance from parambrata literally as movie goes to it's climax param's character getting layers and his performance getting deeper gives u goosebumps literally, same to Anirban , I feel worried while saw him on trailer but at I feel so satisfied , these two performances gonna be remembered for so long time for sure!! Ritobroto less screen time good performance, until the climax I feel less slangs tbh I thought srijit Mukherjee missed those things this time, but climax cames and boom slangs goosebumps excitements a complete roller coaster ride ❤️with double twist in climax
Background score:& music- one of very strong aspect of this movie is background score, throughout the movie background scores was amazing just cherry on top, it always amplified the situation.
And tbh I don't feel songs are so impactful (in compare to 22se srabon) just go on good songs, I personally missed a "govire jao" moment.
Cinematography:- the whole shooted in just 12 days very limited places ,close areas not something amazing scene or shoots experience but provide good vibes.
Personally my all predictions failed and I feel good for that, when u serves a thriller suspense audience's predictions have to failed. I feel so satisfied, a complete justification of the name and first part too. It gonna set a parameter again,i didn't get that much innovation in thrill, but I did get a lot of innovation in relationships,motive in thriller movie especially in Indian thriller movie, alover 4.5/5 yesh it's fulfilled my all expectations, but I feel better if they added some more violence and bit more depth in motives.
